seem hack

Recently bought the E815, really disappointed that verizon takes away the ability to assign mp3s as ringtones. My question is to those who have SUCCESSFULLY completed the seem hack. I have read through the instructions, but they seem a bit overwhelming, especially with the possibility of ruining the phone. Actually how complicated is the hack? And should it be attempted by an inexperienced person? Also the hack allows data to be transferred to the phone(USB or BT), but will it add the option of assigning transferred mp3s as a ringtone? Input is appreciated!
thanks

instead of hacking your phone and risking messing it up and stuff, jus use wavepad and make your ringtone, and send it to your phone using funformobile.com . its easy, and doesnt hurt your phone, and you can use whatever song u want whatever part of it.

I agree, if you are inexperienced and it seems overwhelming, then you should not chance ruining your phone. 😢

If you do a search in this forum, you will find tips and tricks on ways that you can email ringtones to your phone or transfer them using a transflash card. They both work well and does not void your warrant! 😉

The "Search" block is at the top and bottom of the main forum page and you will learn a lot reviewing the ...

I have a question, I heard that you can't transfer ringtones via miniSD cards, b/c Verizon doesn't want you to! They want you to get ringtones via Get It Now.

So what's the deal, can you use miniSD cards in this fashion, cause I would like to know.

Yes it can be done. 🙂

Well.....actually no, not with the MiniSD card because the phone does not use one. But it can be done with the Micro SD card (formally Transflash). 😉

Now I have a question for you....have you read my last post? How about a reply? 🙄

Your NOT supposed to be transferring ring tones via trans flash VERZION does not permit that. BE A BIG BOY AND PAY THE PRICE AND USE GET IT NOW!

By the way, just in your Honor jimspoorbox, I am going to get me a LG9800 this week courtesy of you and Verizon. Your paying for it, I'm eating it! 😁 🤣 🤣 🤣

What??? I am totally insulted that you would rid me away like that. I never said I was trading in my E815. I intend to keep that phone for my other line and demand Verizon to give me a free 9800. (see, I love challanges and haven't lost on since) LOL so I am here to stay you dimwit! 😁
