Extended Battery for E815 is on Verizon website

The Verizon Website is now selling the extended battery made especially for the E815.
And lo and behold, it's the same exact extended battery for the V710. 😲

e815 text ringers?

Does anyone have any trick or a possible way to make the 815 have individual text message ringers? I'd like to have a text ringer ID instead of one sound for all people.
That's about the only feature I don't see that I would like to have.

V710 Batteries for E815

I've been to 2 Verizon Wireless Stores this past week to see if any E815 extended batteries may have came in just in case they may had failed to announce it on their website.
Each store tried to push me into buying V710 standard & extended batteries saying that both phones are physically the same; just different software.
A question in the Motorola's support website FAQ section mentions about the V710 & E815 batteries. It recommended to use only the In-box E815 standard battery with the E815 battery door.
I know that answer is kind of vague since you may already have the V710's extended battery door that comes with the battery so the battery would fit.
Was Verizon just trying to make a sale or there really isn't any issue concerning usin...

Ok, this totally bites.....Transflash card availability- what gives?

I looked on-line at places like Circuit City, Staples, Office Depot, Best Buy and Radio Shack for a store that has them in-stock so I could order it through their site and pick it up at the store. I hate ordering stuff on-line and then waiting for it the mail and I would rather walk-in someplace and carry it out.

Not a single store in the Northern VA area around Dulles Airport (5 Circuit Cities, 5 Best Buys, 3 Radio Shacks, 2 Staples and 2 Office Depots) has the 256 in stock. They have a lot of 128's and 512's in stock though.

I even checked Motorola and they don't have it.

Anybody having trouble finding them locally?

Camera Zoom?

Also, on my E815, the camera shows:
Zoom: 1x
Zoom: 2x
Zoom: 4x

But there is no Zoom: 3x. Is this a camera flaw only on my phone, or does Zoom: 3x NOT show up on all E815s?

Anyone, anyone?

I'm trying to determine if I have a bad cam (phone).

Hi everyone! New here, I have a few questions...

I just purchased the E815 a few weeks ago and I was wondering...

1. Did they stop making transflash? I tried searching for the card everywhere, (Circuit City, Best Buy, Office stores, etc...) but NO ONE has it! Someone told me they were replacing the card with Micro SD which apparently is also compatible with the phone, but I havent seen it either. What gives?

2. Can I transfer ringtones from my computer to my phone, or do they need to be purchased? Someone had mentioned it was possible to email them to your phone, but I'm not sure how...

3. Has anyone tried using this phone as a wireless fax modem? I found that I could dial from my bluetooth pda to the e815, and it would make the call. I figure with a good fax program, it wo...

e815 as Modem

Verzion Tech and Moto both tell the that verizon turned off the feature to use the E815 as a Modem. Is this True and if not How do I connect my PC to the phone so I can access the Internet on my PC. Please don't tell me to go to Howrdfourms. I spent hours there and I am totally confused. VZN also told me if I play with the software it will void the Gty and the phone may stop working. They also said they have no plans for a Mobile kit for the E815 and I should downgrade to the V710 if I want to use the phone as a modem/ please help

Do I have a bad camera on my E815?

Any opinions or help?

I can't believe how poor the quality is of pics I take with my new E815. The pics look great on the camera screen, but when transferred to the computer, they are absolutely LOUSY. Cannot get clarity in the images no matter what. Even in bright outdoor light, a closeup on a face is fuzzy. Not blurry, just no detail or crispness. Very, very poor. Even worse then my previous V265, which really makes me wonder. I keep reading from some that their pics from the E815 are great, so I'm wondering if I have a bad camera on mine? Anyone? Anyone?

Bottom Line - E815 or LG VX-8100?

What's the bottom line. I have the V710 from Verizon and am not happy with it. I am due for an upgrade and was wondering which one of the two to get. Can anyone please give some advice. Someone preferably who has researched it or has had both. It's got to work well with Bluetooth.

speakerphone with PHONE CLOSED

Is it just my phone, or does everyone's 815 keep the call connected when you turn the speakerphone on during a call and then close the phone? I am able to keep talking to the person, anyone else have this? Pretty cool.

Anyone having Freeze-up problems with E815?

I had the V710 for a short while. It would freeze up on me, requiring me to power it off, then on. So I got rid of it. Anyone have that issue on the E815, or has Motorola fixed that problem?
