LG VX-8100
Release date
Seem to be getting a lot of mixed informaton on the proposed release date of the 8100. Does anyone have any up-to-date information on when this phone will be available from verizon?

where did you hear this. Please don't say 'I am a Verizon Rep and blah, blah, blah.' 🤣 I see stuff like this all the time on these forums he said, she said stuff. Just want some valid proof.

I called LG a few days ago and they said the end of August beginning of September... who knows anymore i did actually used to work for Verizon, so Im familar with how long it takes before they bring somthing out... remember the LG 8000 it was posted on here for months even a year if I remember correctly.... 👿

Right now LG and Verizon is on their butts laughing at us because we're coming up with all these different release dates. At this point i dont believe anyone when it comes to the dates. Unless ur that guy from the commercial (Can you hear me now!..GOOD!!)

This is not true. I heard about this phone the day I ordered the LG VX8000. I called Verizon back and canceled the phone order and asked when th LG vx8100 was going to be released. The rep told me that she didn't see it in her system yet and that it probably wont be released within the next couple of months. So the next day I called Verizon again (just to talk to another rep and see what they said) And he pretty much said the same thing the first rep told me and then he said to call LG directly, because they would have a better estimate than he does.

I talked to our account manager and he said it is slated to be released sometime in June. The tests are going well, and VZW really wants to step up the EVDO phones since they are gobbling up spectrum all over to run the network in more markets. So I say look at June, possibly as late as July, though I don't see it taking that long. Who knows....I may be wrong.
