I dunno. I talked to someone @ the 800 CS # and was told the 8100 wasn't showing up in the euip. guide or on the Coming Soon list. The e815, however, is on the Coming Soon list w/ a release date of July 5th.

She said they normally get the info about 2 weeks before the phone comes out.

I just heard that here in Eastern Washington that the 8100 was shown on the approved device list as of this last Friday evening June 24th. So hopefully it will be out soon. 😁

Why would it be $100 more than the E815, with essentially the same features?

There has been NO credible leaks with pricing, or for a release date for that fact. It is looking like first week of July so I think he hit it right on the head there. As for pricing, we don't even know what the Moto is going to cost yet so we really can't compare. If I were to take a guess, I'd have to say that both will be about $199.99 to $229.99 after $50 mail-in rebate (we already have the rebates for both models). Just my opinion...

I work in a CA. call center and we get reps.from the phone companies themselves come out and visit us. We had an LG rep come out and say it would be out Julyish but would not specify anymore than that. I've seen the phone and it's pretty sweet.

Yeah that's pretty cool 😎 .
It has been established here already that these phones are all upcoming and are all related to the heavy marketing Verizon is investing in Vcast. I was just commenting on the pricing of the phone by posting a link which leads to HoFo with an image of the official pricing of the E815.
