No BS. If you have access to infocenter go under the equipment tab and click on list of approved devices. The vx8100 and samsung i730 are there, but the e815 moto is not. Don't believe me? that's just too bad that you're so skeptical that you can't even believe a number of reputable sources. I have no reason to lie because all that does is make me look dumb like the rest of these idiots that say they just waltzed into a retail store and left with one. I'm not that guy

that info isn't up as of 6-16 (phone launch documents or training simulators) but I can assure youas God as my witness it is at least on the approved list. From what I've heard, it's usually about two to six weeks away once it's on that list.

the northeast infocenter has the 8100 as approved, but no release date or pricing. When I looked under the other regions it didn't have it listed but their lists were dated late may, the northeast list is dated june 9. I did see the reference to june 27 PRL for both the 8000 and the 8100, but I doubt we'll see it that soon. We can all hope though.

Nope iv'e looked three times it's definitely the 8100 because the 6100 is no where close to that listing on the page. The 3200 software is above it and the 8000 is below.

From what I've seen if it's new on the List it's usually out with in a month. It doesn't give a cost on the phone. đ Just Software & PRL. However it is NOT on the "Coming Soon" on the Equipment Guide. Neither is the LG 3300(added to list week before 8100) & they are both new to the List. Someone made a good point on about how the 6000 & 7000 were both released around July before July 4th weekend I think. So I think & hope that June 27th is a good guess đ

They are still pushing the 8000 but that campaign is getting a bit tired. After this weekend the fathers day promos will be over and something new will be due.
I bought my current phone on June 19th two years ago and got burned because the one I REALLY wanted back then was introduced shortly after and I couldn't return the one I had just bought. So I would think any date between June 27th and July 1st would make sense.
The second week of July is traditionally the start of the back to school campaigns after the 4th of July end of summer sales are over.

đĄ đĄ đĄ đĄ Just got off the phone with LG. He is saying, rumers from VZW, "Mid July". Speakerphone works only with flip open. No file transfer via BT. He states LG WILL NEVER build this feature into any of their phones, fearing virus contamination. Guess he is right. Anything with software is susceptible to a virus. Another month, that sucks.

Disappointing news; I have friend at Verizon that is pretty high-up there and today he told me that the LG 8100 is not approved yet and there is nothing on their internal web site that states it. He also said nothing recently has been mention for a while at any of his staff meetings regarding the LG 8100. He has heard of the phone and in his opinion it will probably be a Christmas deliverable. The main reason for this is they are loaded with the LG 8000, 7000 and 6100 phones and need to sell those before they introduce any new LGs. Sorry for the negative news.

I so hope he is wrong..I know it sounds funny all this over a little phone.. But, I really want this phone. I am up for my New every 2 July 1st and I only have 6 months to use it. As I am in advertising and marketing, when I said this, everyone laughed at me. You're right. Sales are obviously hurting and they're overloaded. That's why they're unloading all those freebees. But they did this to themselves. They should have released something along the lines of the 8100 instead of 8000, 7000 and 6100. People want up-to-date technology, not the crap they're pushing out.

Well i am an indirect salesperson for VZW and i noticed yesterday that this handset was highlighted in green on the approved device list. I 100% stand behind this fact and i hope everyone else does too. IF I COULD DO A SCREEN SHOT I WOULD but im sorry its an internal website and releasing such information would result in termination. Sorry, but for now you just need to go by the word of mouth and just keep the optimism high instead of pesimism!! đ đ

False, I am looking at that information myself. It is on our "Approved Handsets" list. Regardless of how high someone is in the company we're not given false info. We may not be told everything if we're not high enough, but not wrong information.

Who do you work for? Is it Verizon or an independent dealer? I'm just curious because I have talked to a few different people at Verizon's 1-800 Customer Service # and they have all told me that they have no information about the VX 8100. They said the only thing they have for LG is the 4650 as "Coming Soon".
I have also talked to LG's 1-800 Customer Service # and they said mid-July, but they couldn't guarantee anything. They said they are just waiting for the word to ship them out.

What areas/states does the Northeast cover? I currently have the VX 4500 and am SO ready to upgrade. Don't get me wrong, I like my phone. I'm just ready for another one.

Another coworker noticed if you look at the bottom of the list where it says "PRL Information" it says the "PRL must be in product June 27" Think that is a hint 2 the release date? Or I was afraid it means that means the phone will be ready but not ready for sale. đ Any ideas?
