LG VX-8100
What's your reason for wanting the 8100 so badly?
Seriously....I agree it's a really cool but it seems like this phone and when it's being released is like the second coming of Jesus (no offense intended to anyone or thier religon--just an analogy). I'm planning on getting one but not the minute it's released--I may wait a month or two and see what issues may crop up.
So I'm wondering what everyone's reason is wanting this phone this badly.

For me it's bluetooth on an LG phone so I can use it in my vehicle that has bluetooth capabilities built in (UConnect). I'm not a fan of moto and have always had great success with LG.

The reason I want this phone so bad is based on many reasons:
1) I Love LG phones. I have the 6000 right now, but it is starting to go downhill on me because I have dropped it so many times.
2) I HATE Motorola. I hate the charging ports on Motorola phones. i work for an authorized agent, and you would not believe how many customers come in complaining of the charging port. I hate the menu layout on Motorola phones, it seems like you have to have to read the entire users manual to find anything on the phone. I never read the user's manual on my 6000 and I know the phone like the back of my hand.
3) Bluetooth on an LG phone... enough said.
4) Stereo speakers, mp3 player, 512mb built in memory, miniSD card slot, it's like a music lover's we...

I totally agree with you! I am wanting it for all the same reasons you do.. I can't wait for the Bluetooth for wireless conversations (no I don't like the Moto) and camera sounds like it will take somewhat of a better pic than the average vga..

I am also "on the bandwagon" with wanting the 8100 for bluetooth functions. I have already purchased the Motorola new model HF820 wireless bluetooth Speaker. It is a really neat device that clips on the visor of your car or even sits on a desk and allows hands-free conversations. I noticed my local Verizon store was still selling the older model #HF800.
If any one wants the source on the internet for purchasing this just reply and I will be happy to post cost and supplier.

Seriously...yeah maybe some of us are gadget-heads...but if I'm going to commit myself to VZW for 2 more years (I've been eligible for NE2 since April)...I want the latest phone, dammit. Why should I commit for 2 more years and get a phone with last years technology (like the V710 or VX8100).
The E815 and the VX8100 look like great phones...and I'll be upgrading to one of them when they're available.
I agree...some posts here you'd think peoples lives are hanging in the balance...but just keep in mind some people get more excited about new technology/new toys than other people do. To each his own, I guess.
