i've been following this thread for quite some time. does anyone know whether this phone will be able to SYNC with the computer with, say, Outlook, on calendar and contact infos? the specs sheet here does not list this category. this is very important function that i'm looking for in a phone.

also, i've talked to an Indirect agent in L.A., who confirms that it's on their approved list. he says to expect it sometime in july.

Dude...all evidence from this forum indicates that the phone will be out june 27. July 20th is a wed, they normally release phones on mondays. Don't believe everything you hear from those reps. They've been misleading a lot of people.

ok there is a service in GIN that you will be able to sync your phone to Outlook.. but you will be paying a subscription.. however you are unable to due this through bluetooth since the OBEX is missing from the phones features set so if you plan to own this phone you will have it available but only but letting VZW charge you for a feature that would be free to anyother person through a different carrier

thanks for the info, but that sucks that VZW will charge. does it have its own Sync program that's free?

What are the possibilities of a hack enabling the phone to talk to outlook via bluetooth?

Protocall,
I see you asked about downloading contact lists to the 8100. Were you successfull in finding out how? I have a MAC with a bluetooth and it pairs ok but when trying to transfer my address book, I get an error message that the phone does not include this service.
I would appreciate any assistance....
Thanks,
