Wait or Buy? 8000/8100/Razr/e815?

I'm not under contract--deciding btwn Cing & VZW. Both services have equally poor customer service based on my 2 month shopping experience. Bought/returned the 8000 in May after seeing this fourm, but getting tired of waiting (current phone is useless.) I don't need the perfect phone, but will keep it a long time so I want features I don't currently need but can learn to love, like Bluetooth. VZW probably better service but I don't want the v710. LGs are better, but no Bluetooth yet. Users liked Rzr except for the phonebook but thought too expensive. Is Rzr worthwhile @ $0? ($150 less $150 rebate on Amazon.) Any problems with ordering phones from Amazon or Amazon rebates? Any advice? 😕

For the love of God do not switch from VZ to Cingular!!! I would not buy a phone from anyone but the service proveder or manufacturer. Anywhere is hard to get support. The razr is a stripped v710. Cingular's network is far inferior to Verizon's. The pricing is the same as far as rate plans go, so why pay the same $$ for less coverage, customer service, etc...? If bt is necessary, e815 or Vx8100 are the way to go. I wouldn't switch to cingular if you gave me a free razr and unlimited minutes for $5 a month. Hope this helps. BTW Cingular wiill not insure the razr i.e. if you break it you're screwed. 😁

Very well said! I agree 100% - Go with Verizon and wait for the 8100. It should be...

Thanks-you've convinced me, evn tho I wouldn't be switching from VZ since I'm not a customer now. Also, I am very unhappy w/VZ cust service so far based on my shopping experience but it's no stretch to believe Cing is worse. I guess I'll wait - although that 8100 is UG-LEE! 🙄

Believe me when I say that there isn't anybody that has OUSTANDING customer service. I have had to deal with nextel, sprint, and now verizon and they all have there issues. I also agree with waiting for the new phones, but I would go with the e815. It is going to be a really good phone with very similar features. Up to you though

Good choice! I own the V710 which I bought mostly for the features, partly for the looks. Aside from the slightly large size I've been happy with the looks and the phone has held up well, but the Moto bugs are keeping me away this time. I've had much better experience with LG's in the past so this time around I'm going for function over form. As for cust. svc., one's worse than the next but I can tell you from experience that you get better results e-mailing on the site than calling.

Numerous Reports show T-Mobile/Verizon Wireless are tied as far as customer service goes... then Nextel, And sprint and cingular are at the bottom as far as c/s ranking goes.... and i've heard some bad stories about cingular customer service stories being that i work for verizon wireless's customer service lol.
It is unfortunate that no company will give you perfect customer service... unfortunately thats life... some people are lazy, some people are rude, and some people are just plain dumb lol.. but not everyone 🙂
