Not sure if you guys are aware but you can buy the phone at Radioshack when it comes out and still receive your $100 credit for the New Every Two program.

Just remember that if you buy the phone from Radio Shack 😕 You have any problems thats where u gotta take it for your warranty. Also Who ever said you can get your $100.00 off for NEWE2. WRONG!!!!!!!!! 😲 😢 The only places that you can get ur 100.00 off is Circit City, Verizon Corp Store, Or Customer Care. 😉 🙄 😛 🤣 😎 😁 🙂 🤭

NE2 is a credit to get a phone. IE: The 7000 is 149.99 right now. If you take the hundred off the phone would be 49.99....Cool thing is about verizon, there is also a rebate of 50.00 on the 7000 so now its free.... 🙄

its instant. Except let me give you another example. Lets say you want the a670 which is 99.99 right now. You would think this was free right???? Wrong....

The Phone has a $50.00 MIR, So that makes the phone free after rebate.

See what I mean Kinda tricky

What if you upgrade online, from what I can tell you only get the new customer price, but they don't take off the $100.00 for NE2

ok i you log into your account on the vzw website you can and will get the best deal of all because if you are eligible for the ne2 then it will deduct the 100.00 credit and also the mail in rebate is automatically taken off so the price of the phone right there no sending in and waiting for a check. and no it is not just for new customers

I'm not sure I follow your logic here (not saying you are wrong), I thought you get a new phone every two years free if the phone is $100 or less and if you want to upgrade to a more expensive phone you get the $100 credit.

Here is the exact wording from the VW website:
"And, if you qualify for our New Every Two® program, you're eligible for a new digital phone up to a $100 value - free! Or you can get a $100 credit tow...

no... When the v710 was $99 it was with a rebate. Your NE2 Covered covered all BUT the 50 dollar mail in rebate. You had to send that in and get that yourself, then it was free. if you do it online you get the rebate instantly then you don't have to go through all of that extra hassle.

I understand that, in this situation the phone is actually $149.99 with a $50 rebate so the $100 credit would bring it to $49.99 and you get it free with the rebate, I don't think that is what she was describing.

From the example above, I took it as the phone is $99.99 and there is a $50 rebate making the phone $49.99 without the ne2. If this is correct, why would the phone not be free and why would the rebate come into play here at all? Maybe I misunderstood what she was describing...

Verizon says up to 100$ toward a new phone. If there is a rebate off the 100, then Verizon is only liable for 50$ (they meet the promotion and save some money doing it!

I guess that makes sense as long as the rebate is from the phone manufacturer and not verizon. If it's verizon issuing the rebate then they would still be saving the $50 since you would not be redeeming the rebate (althought they would be holding your $50 for 6-8 weeks before they had to refund it through the rebate so they would be earning interest on the float which probably adds up I guess).

The rebate by the way only takes 2 weeks. If it takes 6, something is wrong.

Well out here in the SF bayarea the radioshacks can issue the NE2 Credit but in a different way. You pay full price and then receive up to a $100 credit on your next bill depending on the price of the phone. If the phone is 79.99 you receive $80. If its 179.99 you receive $100. Most radioshacks don't know they can do it most likely becuase what we do is make the sale and then fax the contract to our indirect rep. and they apply the credit to the bill. I guess this doesnt help most people but just wanted to show that theres more choices then just going to a verizon store...
