Don't know if this fact means anything, but Philadelphia area Best Buys are selling the 7000 for free with a new 2 year contract. Get rid of old inventory before the 8100 ???

Don't think that would have anything to do with the 8100 as the 7000 is not EVDO. I think they are just over-stocked and trying to move it. The 700 was a hot seller the first week it came out and that's it, been a dead phone ever since. Just my opinion.
