One more thing I was wondering about..
The July 11th release date has been out for a few days now, why isn't phonescoop updated, or any other mobile phone websites? Do they have to wait for a call from Verizon specifically, or can't they base their information on VZW reps through infocenter? So is it really going to be July 11th?

Phonescoop does what it wants. The e815 is released tomorrow and it has mid year for the release date. They will just change it to released when it comes out.

CORRECTION!! The release date for the phone is simply coming soon. I just spoke with a customer service rep moments ago. They do however give the price. A very good sign. I asked for a price for the e815 and that is not posted yet. That is probably due to the fact they are debating that give the fact that the v710 is still selling well. The price for the VX8100 full retail is $439.99 and $199.99 for new every two or new contract. Very reasonable for such a great phone. 😁 😁 😁

we already know the price for the e815. Also the 8100 WILL be coming out onthe 11th. Most people that you call to talk to have no clue what they are talking about.

This sounds great but how do you factually know for certain? Where did you personally see this other than reading it here on phonescoop? It sounds great and I hope it is true and it goes with Verizon's practices of releasing new products and promotions on Mondays, but how are you 100 percent convinced? Thanks for the input.

My friend works in the Store and showed me the internal release screen. This is their training screen.. The release date is on the top in Giant Bold letters JULY 11th..

Oh, as nice as it is to say that "it's in stone", its not necessarily true. The release date for the E815 was listed as 7/5 but it released today.

It didn't officially release on the third. The official release date is still the 5th and most places aren't selling it until then.

Well, it might just be because I'm in Southern California and the Ev-DO coverage area is so large out here. I did notice on the inventory list on friday that the West area was the only one that had any 8100s in stock. Of course since I don't work weekends and have today off, I have probably missed a lot.
Nevertheless, I stand by my previous statement in that things are never set in stone. If it's necessary, the date can be pushed back or pushed up. It's all up to VZW.

Actually, it released different days for different areas. Anywhere between 7/3 and 7/5, and I think it still hasn't released in some places

It's going to be released the 15th. Launch package screen just changed yesterday. I checked in the morning, it said the 11th. Then I checked b4 I left and it stated the 15th. The sooner the better but.... I'm almost positive it's the 15th now. I'll take a screen shot today and try to post it.

We were actually talking about the E815. And Infomanager West is still saying release date is July 11th. Ah, who the fark knows. Like I said in another thread, nothing is set in stone.

are there different launch dates for different markets? it almost seems like it would be, just like different launch dates for EVDO service.

It does seem that way, but I honestly don't know. Customer Care reps are given a date in InfoManager and go by that. I would guess the stores are the ones who would know better.

i too asked verizon and they did not know, but it does not surprise me, We know more on these forums that the corporate folks. The sales people at the store get there information from phone scoop rather than the company
