Possible Later Release in Some Areas??
I live in the Kansas City area. I just visited one of my local VZW stores. I asked for the Moto e815, since I read on that forum it was released yesterday. The rep informed me they wouldn't be able to sell that particular phone until Friday. I asked to see a demo, and all he could show me was a dummy phone, not a working model, although he told me they had 10 e815's in stock.
My curiosity aroused, because of the later release date, I asked about the 8100 and he said they were being told the 15th would be the release date for that. He believed they would have the dummy on the 8th.

i stopped by a phone store yesterday [verizon of course] i was told the 11th! now im in chicago,and we are in the mid-west [though we hate to admit it]so i'm assuming that it's still a possibility for you on the 11th 2?[then again ALWAYS TAKE WHATEVER VERION EMPLOYEES SAY WITH A GRAIN OF SALT!!]so good luck to you bro!

hey i work for vzw and i do know that in some places they are not releasing the e815 due to them saying its only being released right now in the areas where vcast is not sure why that is but i have not heard or read as i did the moto about them doing the same thing with the 8100 although they did do that with the 8000 they released it first in areas where the vcast was already up and running first and then released it later other places i guess we will see monday

Yes, somebody on the 815 forum asked me if we had VCast. If I'm not mistaken, KC was among the first of the areas to get VCast when it was launched -- or at least in the first several cities. I can't tell you exactly when it was activated, but it came here right after I first heard of it.

the e815 isn't being released in any corporate stores till tomorrow, tuesday july 5th. only circuit city has them available as of the 3rd. this has been posted many times. this is not a regional date. what the reps are implying is that the phones will be shipped to stores in vcast areas first. that means no matter where you are you should be able to order the phone as of tomorrow. the release of the 8100 on july 11th will be the same story.
