why would the date of availability matter from where you live, if you just order it online or over the phone instead of going to a retail location anyways? doesn't it just ship to wherever whenever it is released if you buy it over the phone/internet?

No...because you'll have to enter an area code to order it. By and large though it won't matter since verizon launches most of there products nationally anyway..

I've noticed different zip codes show different phones and different prices on the Verizon website. If I enter a zip code with a lower priced phone, will they still ship it at that price, to my address?
