later than July 11th?
Alright, does anyone that actually works for Verizon, at stores or what not, have the phones in stock? The only information that I have pulled from phonescoop forums is that link of that pic howardstern has posted, and some e ployees saying "coming soon" in infocenter. Does infocenter (whatever this really is), actually state July 11th? Is July 11th ACTUALLY CONFIRMED?

I've been kinda wondering the same thing...is July 11th THE release date, or is this kinda the same thing that happened with June 27th where everyone believed that was THE DAY. I just wonder, cause I mentioned that when I went into Verizon two days ago (to look at the e815) and the guy told me there is a chance it may be pushed back to August. I just hope that's really not true...I got my 15 days to exchange my phone because Tuesday was the 15th day and the e815 was supposed to be out but my store didn't recieve it yet. So I have another 15 days and I'm hoping that by some chance the VX8100 DOES come out the 11th, cause then I actually will be able to get it...cause i refuse to pay full retail price. 😕

In my earlier post, My Husband called Verizon Corporate today. The man asked if I wanted the 815. If so, he could send it out today. If I wanted the 8100 (which he said was a better phone) he could send it out to me on Monday 😁 Hope this helps

It looks like it's being pitched as an alternative to the V710 as opposed to a replacement. And although the price of the V710 has been fluctuating, it is still selling well, so VZW must have decided to continue marketing both phones.

OK, just so everyone knows here, infoCENTER is the web system for INDIRECT dealers, which means it doesn't have that much information(example, the "coming soon" for this phone) infoMANAGER is the direct agent's system, and it is MUCH more detailed, and has had the confirmed release date since last week. I don't work in a store, so I can't confirm if they've been shipped, but they ARE being released the 11th

I'm an employee, and according to the literature in the launch package for the VX8100, it states the release date of the phone is July 11th. But I am going to be frank: this is NOT SET IN STONE. It can be pushed back if its necessary. VZW itself has not set a date yet for the release of this phone. No we're not doing it to spite you. We're not holding back the phone to piss you off as so many of you fervently believe. No. If it's being held back, there's probably a pretty damn good reason for it. As far as I know, there's a limited stock in the warehouse in Southern California for this particular model. I don't know what that means or how it will affect the release. Nothing is set yet. I know you're all waiting for this phone. So...

I am wodering how many times you can post that? Noene seems to believe it. You have said the 11th, I have seen the 11th on infocenter, direct reps have said they saw the 11th on infomanager. So people! Unless it is pushed back for some unforseen reason it is scheduled to launch on the 11th!

I'm a tech for verizon and i am anticipating this release just as much as most high end technology users. the phone is not at my store yet, nor is any dummy version. as of right now it is supposed to launch on the 11th, but i don't even think we get a shipment in again before that date, so it doesn't look good. but i'll try to update.
