Voice Dialing

Called LG to ask them. 1st person I spoke to told me it was the old type, each contact had to be recorded, with no digit dial. Didn't sound right. Called back. Spoke to someone else and checked spec sheet. Disagreed and said it would be the latest type, with digit dial. The question I had and she couldn't answer was, 'how does it handle name dial with several phone numbers'? Does each contact have to be individual like MOTO? Anyone know? Sure hope she was right about the voice Dial. 😕 😕 😕 😕

Doubt anyone should... unless those who already have it are telling the truth. Good luck... I have my fingers crossed for ya.

Just called LG back. She did verify 'digit dial' but didn't know about multiple phone #'s. She said it should pick out the 1st # but if you have 3 #'s for JOE, home, office, cell, you would probably have to use digit dial for other two, unless you set up separate listings. If anybody knows, please post. I know several other phones have the new voice dial.

If LG has it right, then there should be a way to designate the primary number for a contact with multiple numbers. then the digit dial will dial that designated number. simple concept.

I have the Samsung 670 and it asks you which number you want to call (ie. mobile, home, office). hopefully it will be like that.

If it is like the 6100, your voice command will bring up multi. names to chose from and will ask "did you say" (name) you say no until it says the right name.

If I tried the 6100 for a while and very much like the speaker phone and digit dialing what I found quite difficult was understanding what the 6100 was saying for my contact name the pronunciation was horrible it sounded like grunting and there was no way that I knew to RE record the sound for the contact name any feedback on that
