Uncrippling bluetooth
Like many other, I'm waiting for the 8100 to come out to decide if i want the E815 or the 8100. 8100 had the upper hand up until 10 mins ago when I read this post: https://www.phonescoop.com/phones/p_forum.php ?fm=m&ff=663&fi=317888 .
Basicly, it lists how OBEX can be done on this phone with some "fixing". I didn't think it would happen this fast, but it has.
Any chance that the 8100 will have a "fix" as fast which would release OBEX and possibly other bluetooth abilities?
I wasn't actively looking when the v710 came out, but didn't that take longer than a few days?

maybe I'm a bit confused? I mean what does bluetooth for a cell phone allow you to do? Connect to a headset & connect and share files wit ha computer? Is there anything else I'm missing? Doesn't the fix allow you to share files, or am I missing something else.

I think I'm leaning towards the 8100 as opposed to the E815. Is the memory card slot crippled like bluetooth? I'd like at least one to work ok with a "fix" or not. Will I be able to transfer anything from my pc to my phone and back using a memory card....specifically sharing:
- ring tones?
- mp3's?
- pictures?
- video?
- ring tones?
- mp3's?
- pictures?
- video?

I don't know anything about a "fix" for the bluetooth, but I believe that only the MP3's will be transferable with the memory card. At least that's what it says on the link at the bottom of the "info" tab

I hope you can use the mp3's as ringtones too. But I figure the pictures and video will be crippled via both Bluetooth and memory card, which sucks.
