Called VZW rep - said phones are in stock in West region but nowhere else. Said I could fly West and activate an account there if I wanted one (I'm in the midwest).

I just talked to a Verizon rep. at a retail store in Huntington beach, Calif. @ 2 pm today - he admitted they already had vx-8100's in stock but could not sell them or quote a price until they were officially offered. He did say that will happen for sure in July , and the same day they are offered they will have working models on the floor. 😎
