you guys are going to be so disappointed
I've had the unique opportunity to trail test both phones. The Motorola E815 blows the LG 8100 in reception and battery life.
And for all those confused about which looks better, that is so intuitively obvious. The LG 8100 has got to be the ugliest phone on the market.
Buy the Motorola E815 it's vastly superior. 😁

After dealing with the reliability problems of Motorolas past mistakes (6 v710's in 1 1/2 months) I think I will take the LG and a second battery, live with slightly lower reception since everywhere I travel has good coverage anyway, and have a phone that I know will actually power on and function when I need it. I need to get my 710 replaced again but I am holding out for the 8100 instead of going for lucky 🙄 number 7 from Motorola. I am running far and away from any Moto CDMA offering. By contrast, everyone in my family has an LG and I have had 4 previosuly and never had a problem with any of them.

Where are you from?
I always thought reception could be different from area to area.
Heck, I had an LG VX6000 that used to drop calls outdoors on a cloudy day; but my VX7000 has had not that many problems. There is NO perfect phone that has perfect reception, that will never drop a call. Every phone will have a dropped call every once in a while so I learned to deal with it.
I still plan on getting the LG VX8100 no matter what others say.

humm well personally im gonna stick with the lg myself i have always had an lg phone and it has always given me the reception i need and i have never had to many problems with it, i have had one moto phone and it was a push to talk i bought me and my daughter one for her birthday worst mistake i ever made and since then i went back to the lg and thats where i am staying, the lg has never had any chaging unit probles, and yet the moto phones seem to have alot of problems in this area, the v710 phone has had more software updates and things wrong with it since it came out that its just insane and as you can see people are still complaining about it, and having problems, so no thanks i will stick with what has been working for me and keep my pr...

While you may be right or wrong, the fact remains you are simply a troll.
Please, do us all a favor and leave this forum and head over to the E815 forum.
You, sir, suck at the Internet.

I don't know much about phones but the other day I stopped by the Verizon store within Circuit City (in Las Vegas) and spoke with the Verizon district manager. I looked at the Motorola 815 and asked her advice. She said obviously that the 815 was a good phone and that she had the Motorola 710. So I said "you obviously endorse Motorola over the LG" - she said, "actually, no, I think LG is better and have equipped my whole family with LG - and if it were me I would wait for the 8100 to come out because it will manybe not so much be a better phone but it will be equal and you'll have far less problems with it".

I'm not one of those people who puts the phone on the charger once a week, so battery life isn't that big a concern. 8100 is better.
