purchasing the VX-8100

I live in Detroit, but will be going to Michigan State University in East Lansing in 2 months

will i be able to purchase the phone for an area code in East Lansing, without having/knowing an address in East Lansing? Can i pput my address in Detroit, but get an area code in East Lansing? any help would be great

Yea, that will be no problem, use your current address and tell them you want a local East Lansing number. Wouldn't you really rather have an Ann Arbor area code though? 😉 😁
