...MP3 files, and the 8100...

FYI to all...

No one has said that if they put some MP3s on a miniSD card, and put the card in the 8100, that they could not access (play) those files...

But consider the following...

The 8100 has an expansion slot that accommodates a 512MB miniSD card... this must be to store MP3 music on... So it may already work just fine... Nobody seems to know, yet...

Even if Verizon attempts to lock users into their music download system, it probably will not work... After M.O.D. starts it will only take a couple weeks and we will know exactly how to store the MP3 files on the miniSD card so that they will play properly on the 8100 system...

This is not that hard to figure out, and no matter what Verizon does there will quickly be a hack...

Well, I've tried putting mp3's on an sd card...they don't show up in the phone...they are clearly not supported at this time...even if you go to the "hidden" media player, they don't show up. So....what a bummer!
