VZW Reps--More Phones on the Way?

Prof

Jul 11, 2005, 9:08 AM
Like so many other people on this forum, I admit to being very disappointed after reading the preliminary reports on the 8100. The one feature about which I was so excited--the Mp3 play capability--seems a wash. 😢
I need a new phone, but I guess my antique Nokia might make it another couple of months 🙄
Thus my question for you VZW folks (and anyone else "in the know"): Is Verizon going to release a version of the Nokia 6255i later this summer? And, if so, will they do to the Mp3 player on it what seems to have been done to the one on the LG?
Thanks, all 🙂

I don't know the definitive answer to your question about Nokia. But conventional wisdom would be, if VZ is crippling MP3 on LG, their greediness will carry over to Nokia and every other brand! Their responsibility to the VX stockholders is to make money, money, money! Nickel-and-diming you and me for "Music On Demand" is just part of that strategy!

Verizon DOES plan to release a version of the 6255i, probably in Aug. I don't know about the mp3 player, but I am told that it will be the only VZW phone to date that can send pictures to your cpu through bluetooth. I have actually seen the vzw version of this phone, but I did not play with it.
