Oh no my hopes and dreams!!
I work for vzw and another rep and another store bought the phone today. He called me immediatley after he returned the phone. I have not been able to verify this cause my location has not gotten their shipment yet. He said that there is NO WAY to save sounds sent from pictures to use as a ringer. You can save them to your melodies or sounds folder but you can't use them as ringers?!?! Please tell me this isn't true. I know vzw needs to make money. I will even accept them disabling the bluetooth but I will get the 815 if they disabled that feature on the 8100 ☹️

who knows... im waiting till we get the 8100 in stock so i can test it out. if the mp3 features are restricting ill just get the 815

There is alot of people saying that they got the phone.. not to hard to test this. Guess I'll just wait till we get them in stores.

e815 is locked. I have a transflash card with 3 mp3's on it and I put it in my roomate's e815 and there is no "move" or "copy" feature like on the first v710 s/w version. Even the new v710 s/w prevents it. You can still, as you said, listen to the files, but no way to transfer...........yet. God bless hackers! 🙂

This is true. I have sent a few ringers to myself and they only save in the "my sounds" folder. From there I haven't been able to assign as ringer. This is ridiculous and annoying. Could lead to me returning it. If anyone can figure it out let me know!

☹️ Thanks gowireless4less for the reply. That will seriously make me get the 815 even though I dont like motos. I have used LG for the past 5 years.. But this is something I just can't ignore. What sucks is if they manage to do that on the 8100 it will be standard practice on the next modles. ☹️ 😢
