
LG VX-8100
Got the 8100 today. (review from a non-phone techie inside)
So here's the scoop from my perspective. Right out of the box the 8100 was eye catching and felt durable and well made. The flip feels very solid and the phone feels a tad top heavy flipped open, but not bad. I tend to hold phones up around the hinge though and this causes my top finger to block part of the camera so I'm adjusting to that.

- The VX8000 is superior in both very close shots and far shots. Has a CCD sensor, so i suppose this is the defining factor. It can also handle low light situations very well.
- The E815 does well in well lit areas. Does much better than the V710 in low light areas, and still manages to do a good/average job in those low light areas. However, it can't take a close-up macro like shot at ALL. This bothers me a lot.
- The VX8100...? From what i've seen so far, on HOFO, the camera isn't that great. Indoor pictures are horrible, grainy, and full of noise; much like a VX6000's camera. Outdoor well lit areas are average. Colors and lines are a bit washed out and not sharp and defined. I'm not...

I took a few pics in lower light with flash and "night mode" and I would call the quality of those pics poor at best. Granted, this could be my lack of know-how for how to set up the camera for low-light shooting.
So the short version is shooting with plenty of light aka outdoors and in well lit indoor situations I think the camera does as much as one could expect it to do. Don't plan on getting any decent pics from low light shots though. ...
