Any real-life comparisons between e815 and vx8100???
Would still like to get some real feedback between the e815 and vx8100--from those who got the Moto and then the LG. All the comparisons I've read to date have been based upon hear-say and hype.

I had the e815 for a couple of days. As soon as I brought it home, I wanted to return it. Low vol. on speakerphone, weak vibrate(actually missed a few calls), and grainy camera. I just got the 8100 and no regrets. Great reception, camera, speakerphone, strong vibrate, and exploring other fun options.

Thank you. Every time I've had a Motorola phone I've either regretted it or taken it back for exchange. They're just not for me. Don't like them.

Seems like everyone on HoFo is pretty united in praise of the e815 vs the 8100. I'm still undecided, but it seems that the e815 is much more hackable, while many of the features of the 8100 seem disabled by Verizon so far (mp3 player, memory, bluetooth, etc).
The 8100 has a nicer external screen and a stronger vibrate.
The cameras are supposedly fairly equal.
The e815 is said to have better reception.
There are lots of discussions on HowardForums.com about the two phones.

I haven't had any trouble with reception yet (then again, I just got the phone yesterday). I'm kinda partial to LG anyway. I looked @ the E815 and did not like the external display, not as crisp and clear as the 8100. Also, with the e815, the wallpaper you choose for the main screen is also displayed on the external display. In addition, when you set the contrast, etc. on the 815, it sets both internal and external. It's like the two screens are not independent of each other.
Other than that, I can't offer any help. Like I said, I just got the 8100 yesterday (07-14-05) and so far I like it. Good luck deciding!

I just got the 815 on tuesday, speakerphone is cool good audio and the other person heard me just fine. The outside screen could be sharper and brighter(nothing compared to my old LGX6000). Cant get the screen savers to work. Reception is good no complaints yet. Vibrate is low compared to LGX6000, and if you charge the phone it defaults to ring if its on vibrate. I would love to hear more about the LG8100 and where its available so I can check it out in person!

Anyone have any information about the battery life??? I have the 815 and am somewhat happy with it.. the battery life is great! I used to charge my lg6100 every day.. for the first time, I had only used 4/6 bars in one day! Did not have to charge it at night.
Can someone please fill me on the battery life of the 8100?
