SWEEEET !!!!!!!!
Its about noon time here in jersey and i just got off the phone with VZW and i just ordered my new LG VX8100.....I was able to do my upgrade over the phone....the phone is $199.99 and a $50 Mail In Rebate....so final price after the rebate is $149.99....also what surprised me was that they are overnighting me the phone for on $9.99. so i should have the phone tomorrow and will post my findings.

Okay, I called the telesales, and no matter what I do, it seems to route the call to the local telesales? They keep saying that they can't order the phone for me since its not officialy released, and they don't even have a release date for it yet. When I tell them that others have it, in other areas of the country, they said that yes, some areas are released sooner than others. Can someone provide me a number to call where I can order this thing? I live in OHio, and actually, when I've called the stores, nobody knows anything, even regarding the 15th. I'm sick of waiting, so if I can order this by phone, I'd be happy to do so!

well, I got mine and I live in cincinnati, Customer service did it, they didn't transfer me either. Though I did spend over 24 minutes on the phone to get mine ordered

I live in Washington State and I have been in touch with a guy at the kiosk in the mall in my town for a long time.. Yes the release date is to be the 15th, but they are getting their shipments in as we speak.. He called me yesterday when they got theirs and held one for me which I picked up last night.. I just love it.
The flashing lights are pretty cool on the outer display when the phone rings.
Could have more choices of ringers though, but all in all.. I really like the feel and durability of it. The bluetooth headset works PERFECT!!!
My suggestion is to go to the main store or Kiosk if you have a mall near you and just be really nice to the salesman... I think you might be surprised.You really do catch more fly's with honey than you ...

Yeah you sure are right about the ringer's. I downloaded modtones and got a couple of ring tones. Enjoyable they are.

I live in NJ too. I ordered mine yesterday morning. The order went through fine. Got the same deal with $9.99 next day shipping. However, about 4:30 pm yest. I got a call from the same VZ rep and she told me that phone is not available and they put order on hold until it is.
Hopefully it is not the case for you, but I would try to call them back and make sure your order is processed.
