LG VX-8100
Just got mine in Boston area
I called a dozen corporate stores all around Boston, and got a different answer from each - some fact, but most were totally wrong, and some were totally clueless about the 8100. But none of the stores had actually received any phones or had them in stock yet.
So I called a couple of local Circuit City locations, and found one which had them in stock and available for sale, so I went right down and got one. $199-$100 NE2 -$50 rebate=$50+tax.
Apparently there was an email "yesterday" that said the phone can be launched/sold ahead of the "official" date of 7/15.
But don't be surprised if most stores remain clueless or unhelpful.

Thanks- which Circuit City stores had them-- I'm on the North Shore but would go to the South Shore if that's where I needed to head to get one.

I'm trying to decide between the 8100 and the 8000(wonder about camera quality, saving pics, volume and clarity, speakerphone,whether the phone gets hot after long calls, and talk time). 🙂 Any advice from anyone who might know would be great! I'm also trying to figure out if I can access my verizon email on either of these phones since I don't have aol, yahoo or hotmail. Thanks!

Well, I don't know anything about the 8000, and this is my first camera phone, so I've barely used that. I just found out that you need to PAY to get pics off the phone. Not too happy about that.

Check out the threads- I think you can buy a USB cable and use that-- but I'm not the expert.
