I went through 3 people today and finally got to a supervisor, he said not until the 15th. I am so pissed at the run around I have been given trying to get this phone that I am considering cancelling 6 lines and porting them to Cingular. They told me they were shipping it last week but then found that the Sku wasn't active so they couldn't, call back next week. They told me they were shipping it on the 11th but I could get it faster as my local store would have them in stock today. The store didn't get them so I called back to order it and they told me not until the 15th. I am so frustrated with my 710 and the previous 5 replacements that I am considering telling Verizon to bite me and taking my business somewhere else. You know your CS...

I agree. This is like playing the lottery. It really does depend which cs handles you. And, yes, this is ridiculous!
Even though mine is ordered, I still am not going to trust them until the darn thing is in my hand, which is supposed to be early next week. (She said it took a day or two to "process" the order and then it will ship out--probably on Friday or Saturday.

Rallykid I think it depends on which call center you get through to. I am from Mass and I called into a Delaware call center and was able to order it yesterday. Today because I was nervous I called and confirmed that it had shipped out and it has it will be here before 10:30 tom. morning. Going to the stores this week was a nightmare everywhere I went I had a different answer. Good luck 🙂

I'm in Jersey and got connected to the Charleston Center on my first try and was able to order it...Told me it was released on the 12th!

Weird... I'm in Charleston and I haven't been able to order it for anyone. Guess I'm wrong matrix. The screens still say the 15th. Did you speak to CS or another department?

If you click on the phone in Infomanager the description at the top says the phone was soft launched on the 8th with full retail set for the 14th. West Area

What market area are you in? They tried to release to EV-DO cabable areas the most, but release date is still standing as the 15th. Most CS Dept will say the 15th, Supervisor of CS will say the same thing, even if you threaten disconnect. Some people get it through Telesales for adding a new line. So if it is expected on the 15th tentitive date, try back then. I'm waiting on this phone too.

The phone release was pushed up to today due to the problems with the motorola. My store doesn't have it on display yet, but we have it in stock.
