I heard this one thing that you can ONLY download wallpaper/ringtones, etc. to this phone through VERIZON
i know some sites that sell ringtones and wallpapers, etc., and they just send them to your phone (nothing done with Verizon or LG or anything). Can you do this with this phone?

why would one site work, and not another?
can you go to a cell phone site and send ringtones/wallpapers to this phone and use them? or can you download them to the computer and put them on the phone through a USB cable?

Some sites have their own way of billing which cannot be done through the Verizon wireless network...Third party billing.
But some will email/text a ring tone, but you have to set up a credit card account in advance.
My sister tried sending a ring tone from her virgin Mobil phone to my 8100 and I could save it, but I couldn't use it as a ring tone.
