Ever Wonder?

This is not meant to offend anyone or to persuade one's choice of product, but to be thought provoking. here we have LG, that made a phone with all of these wonderful little tools and extras. now, when it comes to these extra bells and whistles, some of you say, "just buy a Palm Pilot," or, "it's just a phone," to which i say, "don't be ignorant." because with new technology comes new phones with new upgrades. that is the whole point of new technology. why buy an ipod, if my phone can double as one! this is what the people want!
no, i don't have an i-pod, and if the technology is there to use an MP3 player on a phone, and a manufacturer makes one, why shouldn't i be able to use it. if i want a PDA, i'll buy a PDA. if i want an ipod, i'll b...

well said! i am sick of those people saying, "just buy an ipod." if a phone can play MP3s, I WANT IT TO! lay off about it just being a "phone!" it's not just a phone! that's why it is $400! anyways, very interesting post. what do you think the answer is?

its not $400 asstard its $200 with a 2 yr agreement plus $50 rebate also now that u know about the disabled mp3 and the workaround using bitpim why continue to b!tch and moan about it its pointless buy it or dont and accept the fact that u have to use bitpim to put your mp3s on it or use the music on demand service its that simple.....

Okay, I have a question. Is it "safe" to the phone to do these 'work-arounds" to get disabled features to work? Or will it void warranties and stuff? I mean, if something were to go wrong, and you take it to the store or even the manufacturer and they ask, "Well this feature isn't enabled, so how'd you get it to work?" And then you say, "Well, I..." will they even honor the warranty? 😕
