Giving my old phone to my dad
I'm about to get the 8100 and was thinking of giving my "old" Samsung A610 to my dad (also a Verizon customer). Do people know if Verizon would let me transfer the phone to him officially? I couldn't find any identifier to set through the menus.

Verizon will be glad to reprogram it over to your dad's number. If you go in with his old phone, they can probably transfer all his contact info. as well.

There may be a way you can do it online through the VZW website. Look under "Activate Phone."
