VX8100 data cable?

I am going to be getting the VX8100 tomorrow. i wanted to know if it is possible to use the vx8000 or vx7000 data cable on the vx8100, or if you have to buy the data cable for the new model. Please let me know.

I'm using an old cable for the vx4500 and it works fine. Don't see why the 7000/8000 cables wouldnt work either.

I thought the connectors between the 4500 and 8100 were slightly different. I know the charger doesn't fit. Did you file down the connector?
