my thoughts...
just got the phone today...
as far as the mp3 player, the phone will play mp3s, if you have a mini sdcard. simply place the mp3 file in the my sounds directory and rename it *.qcp
i managed to get the phone to play videos converted from my computer, which i wasnt too sure the phone could do.
i am pretty sure that when verizon releases the MOD service, the mp3 player will be downloadable, and we will understand the way the files will be stored on the phone, and card.
today was a very expensive day. full retail on the phone, case/car charger, mini sd card and reader.

so you're saying that you can play mp3's using the sd card? then y is everybody saying that it has no mp3 player?

Doesn't that make it a qcp player and not an mp3 player?! 😁

The only sound i can get to show up on the card that plays on the phone is a voice recorded sound. I've tried renaming the file...no dice.

i took a song named like a stone.mp3 and renamed it to like a stone.qcp
put it on the card under the folder "my sounds"
go to get it now, get tunes and tones, and my sounds and play it.

no dice at this end...I've done that, and it doesn't show up in the file selection...there must be a setting somewhere else.

it wont play in the media player.
after you copy it over to the card, go to GET IT NOW. Then to Tunes & Tones, My sounds.it will show up there.
