3 Day reveiw of VX8100
Bluetooth headset with Jabra 250V VERY STATICY and Muffled. In other words not worth it.
EarPeice Volume is Low.
No MP3 Player (yet atleast)
Vcast tried it and its horrible!!!!!!
Screens are amazing compared to E815
But i thin im gonna switch, id rather have a hackable phone, with long lasting battery and a Bluetooth phone that works without static with JABRA.....but i dont know if the E815 will be staticy either
Getting kinda down....the VX8100 looks sooooooooooooooooo nice, has so much power but it seems like Verizon is its own Kryptonite!!!

When you say Vcast is horrible, what do you mean versus Vcast on other LG phones like the 8000? Also, re: the earpiece volume, does your headset have a volume control that would amplify the volume from your phone to make it better? Just wondering-- I hope you find something that works for you.

VCast is horrible because you're better off with cable or broadcast TV. Why watch TV on your phone? Lots the content you have to pay an additional charge for too (duh! go figure?)! There were about 4 music videos on the dumb thing and the only free items were coming attractions.
VCast is another "get the kids" marketing scheme to give you trash and suck your wallet dry. It will eventually fail along with their as yet to be introduced music service.
OPEN UP THE DAMN PHONE TECHNOLOGY to add your own, music, videos, etc. The iPod is headed this way. Why the hell do this all on a phone? It just doesn't make sense.
People will pay for the freedom to control it themselves rather being dictated to. If it wasn't for Verizon's killer network...

Thanks for the clarification. Does Cingular have the same issues that Sprint and others have with coverage areas/network?

The jabra Headset is rated the best one. But for the VX8100 i noticed alot of static.....and people say they can make out what i say but it sound like GARBAGE.
Also I tried the free trial of VCAST for 3 days....I HAD 30 days to try it but canceled after 3 days. NOT WORTH IT. Mobile web is limited alot of sites dont work, dont look good, hard to move around........total garbage.
I think im gonna send the phone back and get the E815......Gonna try it with my Jabra 250v in the store......if its nice and clear im gonna get that one instead. Very Disapointed in the VX8100 looked like a Porche but ended up being a Fiat!!!

Oh and yes it had Volume control...no help only made static louder, ALOT more features than a Motorola headset.
Works GREAT with my sisters V710 , can walk away like 10 feet with no problems at all!!!! Not even a scratch in sound.........but with vx8100 if i keep it on the passengers seat...horrible....Thats only 1 foot away
Also low ear volume!!!!

Hello, we have both phones also and on the way home this evening we both made some calls. My partners phone (Motorola e815) lost two calls in the course of 15 minutes and I had no problems at all on my phone (LG VX8100). We both seem to get the same number of bars as far as reception goes but I did get more bars on the LG once we were inside the city. I think reception and dropped calls has alot to do with were you are at the time and can vary from phone to phone of the same model. I also have no problems with VCast on my 8100 (although Vcast is deffinately not worth the money ).
