Ok, i have been eagerly awaiting this phone as anyone in here. got my 8000 July 2nd cause i couldnt wait to get rid of my friggin Sam a310. anywho, the mall VZW guy TXT'd me and said to come in for the 8100 - so i did. for a 1/2 hour i played with it and compared it to my 8000.

Well i walked away and kept my 8000. you can actually see how much memory is alotted for your own data: 4MB for pix and 2MB for ringtones & sounds. I said to the guy, i thot it had 512MB, he said, "I dont know anything about that phone."

No macro lens on the 8100? That was one of the things they liked about the 8000 on cnet. I was planning on using the macro lens function in my job...

Hmmm, more I hear more I think I may get the 8000 or the e815.

Trouble is, there are bugger all objective reviews of the e815 out there

Hey, is the 8000 both analog and digital? That would be a positive point for me.

Is the camera beter on the 8000 than the 8100? I'm interested in shooting too. The Motorola E815 is good and bad depending on lighting. I'm not hating it but not loving it either.

Hate the low vibration rate on the Moto too. The LG is good at vibration.

well both cams are 1.3MP, its just the 8000 has the macro option, which lets you get up close and personal to get some excellent shots. I took a pic of the center of a flower and it looks beautiful. I have alot of fun with the macro ;)
