Maybe a general question, maybe not..

If i want to "cruise the internet", do i HAVE TO use V-cast (if i have it), or can i use "Get it now"

OR, is get-it-now a verizon wireless service and only provides ringtones, wallpapers, etc. for your phone to donwload? and does get-it-now cost per KB transfer or second used or anything?

and if anyone has even heard of it, does www.mobileweb4u.com work tieh the VX8100, and work well?

basically, does anyone know DETAILED information, or for that matter, any more information than i do, on either 3 of these services?

Before Vcast, I would pay about $5 for email/web access, and I was able to use the web, but the connection was VERY slow. With the Vcast, I think you will get a faster connection and be able to view video clips if you want (some are free and some cost you). You're basically paying about $10 more for the extra stuff you're getting, since the email/web usually costs about $5. The get it now is different than the Vcast because you don't have to subscribe to the service, you just use it when you want. You use your minutes when you are connecting, and most of the stuff costs a few bucks, although I think there are a few items that are free to try like certaim games. I don't know anything about the mobilweb4u but I will check it out.

Yes the get it now only uses your minutes, there shouldn't be a charge for kb usage because you're already paying for the download. You may want to called cust service to double check on the Vcast minutes. I remember with just email/web access I had to use my minutes, not sure if it's the same with Vcast.

I don't know about that. I'm in Los Angeles area and have the service. They give it to you free for 1 month, so we'll see if I want to keep it afterwards.

when you subscribe to vcast you get the mobile web 2.0, and you get the video clips and you also get any minuets used while you are in get it now or mobile web or vcast. before when you would pay the 5 dollars a month for mobile web it would use your anytime min. with the 15 dollar vcast package the only minuets that are going to be used are the ones used while talking. hope that helped
