MEDIA PLAYER...

Does anyone know why the Media Player is hidden in the service menu and how on earth to delete a file (voice memo) from the Media Player. The media files do NOT show up under "My Ringtones" or "My Sounds".

Thanks!

Yeah, I went and saw a tech @ the Verizon store and he looked and couldn't figure it out. He said it wasn't hurting my phone in any way and that the media player should be available once that certain "program" (I'm guessing Music On Demand) and then it should have the capability to delete files. Yikes! I guess that's what I get for trying to get into something I'm not supposed to get in to yet!! 🤭

*Nods* Yes, the Media Player is hidden because IT IS AVAILABLE, but their program for it isn't. They don't want anyone to see it as a waste, so they hid it until the program comes out. Then, I'm sure, you should be able to access it easier and the music should be accessable through "My Sounds" or the front buttons.

As for the recordings... you CAN delete them. Go to "Get It Now" then go to "Get Tunes & Tones" then go to "My Sounds". Those are your recordings... scroll over one, and click the left soft key. Simple, easy...

Hope that's helpful!

Well, I promise you it isn't in My Sounds. The only sounds there are the pre-loaded ones... i recorded the voice memo under the actual media player in the hidden service menu. ☹️

Go to the media player and do "record voice memo". Then you can play the file, but no deleting, at least not from what I can see. I'm such a dork!

OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Yea, I thought you just regularly recorded it. I'm going to give my opinion that I think it might not be a way, OR it might be really difficult since the Media Player isn't OFFICIALLY active....

Sorry...

Yeah, see, that's what I was thinking too (may not be a way until the Media Player becomes a "real boy" 🤣 )! I've been told, "I don't know" as to a date when the program will be launched that will cause the Media Player to be active. In fact, the only person who has seemed to know anything about a program being launched (that I've asked in person or over the phone) was a tech @ my local store. I asked if they were going to be launching a program that would use the Media Player and he said "Yes" and that it would be like iTunes, or whatever.
