More on mp3 player....

The customer service person was telling me that they didn't receive the 8100 as planned and that she could order it for me and I would receive it in a few days. Just as she finished telling me this, another cs person came by and said that they just received them and started putting them away in the cupboard. that's a nice little dream....however, it doesn't work. inserting the card does nothing, and it doesn't read mp3's that I have put on the card via my computer. Let's all figure this out!! there has to be a way!!

With the Moto V710 the first time you insert the card in the phone it auotformats it. Only after that can you place files on which will be recognized by the phone (I'm assuming it is that way too with the E815).

The mp3s on the sd card have to be renamed to .mid AND the file length (name) has to be short, if its too long the file doesnt show up.I got my mp3s to work perfectly this way but with no media player you have to select each song and if you touch any buttons or close the phone it shuts off the song.
The mp3s dont show up in the media player on the card so im still trying to figure this out.
