Mp3's are playable!! Off the card!! uncheck file extensions......

"i took a song named like a stone.mp3 and renamed it to like a stone.qcp
put it on the card under the folder "my sounds"
go to get it now, get tunes and tones, and my sounds and play it."
Exactly how do you rename it some may ask, I did. Heres how.
"well if you are on windows xp you have to go into windows explorer...go to Tools on the menu bar..then to folder options. then go to view...and make sure you have the "hide extensions for known file types" UNCHECKED. click apply and then ok.
now you will see that the file type is song.mp3
right click on it and choose rename and change the mp3 to qcp"
This worked perfect for me hope it does for u. Its not a real mp3 player but better than nothing.

that is good information to know when i get the phone tomorrow. if anyone tries playing long mp3 files (10-40min) let me know if you have difficulties/success. i have some mp3's that are 20+ minutes and wanting to know if even "whole album mp3's" (an album as one mp3) can play on there since there is no playlist as of currently.
