Ignoring a call...and vibrate questions

Is there anyway to ignore a call by pressing any of the outside buttons, like on the 4400 or the 4500? I didn't know if there were any settings that could change it, so that if you press it twice like on the other phones, it ignores the call as well, instead of just silencing the call.

Also, with the other phones, you could put it on vibrate pressing the side buttons. Is there anyway to change the settings to allow it to do that on this phone? If not...i'll survive, i was just wondering because I liked those features.

As far as I've been able to tell, the answers to your questions are 1)no and 2)no. I liked both of those features myself, especially when you could send the call into voicemail by pressing the side button twice. I don't know why they got rid of that feature - maybe because people were accidentally sending calls into their voicemail and it was an inconvenience. Maybe the reason for not allowing the vibrate feature from the outside buttons is because maybe too many people complained about that. Funny how people will complain "It's too easy to press those buttons and blah blah blah" and now some are complaining that the buttons are inoperable. I guess you just can't make everyone happy! 😁

yeah i really liked that you could just automatically send it to voicemail that way...i suppose i may just have to change the setting so that when i flip the phone open it doesn't answer unless i press send and can press ignore instead (well..if that is an option).

When you get a call you can press the left keys on the outside and it will silence the call. And, if you want to put it in vibrate, just hold down the * button for a few seconds and it will go to vibrate mode.

Thanks, that I was aware of. 🙂

I just didn't know if there was a way to change the settings on the phone so that by pressing the side buttons you could switch it to vibrate, and ignore a call like on the 4400 and 4500.

oh well. thanks though 🙂
