LGVX 8100 + SOFTWARE OR BITPIM?!?
Can anyone please help me find software for my new LG VX8100? I just got it last night and cannot get my bitpim software to work with it. I also noticed that bitpim does not support it yet according to their webpage.
I want to transfer some wallpaper and phone book entries that I have saved from my old LG VX8000 phone.
Plus, does anyone know how to get the phone to work as a modem?
Thanks in advance!

BITPim does not support the phone yet, however, you can set bitpim as a CDMA phone and access the phone's file system. From there you can do a bunch of things such as MP3s, ringtones, and BRICKING YOUR PHONE.
To get Dial Up Networking (DUN) working press OK, 0000000, 4. Now enable either CABLE or BLUETOOTH DUN. Ive already tested both, and both connected to AOL.
Oh ya, you need to find the modem drivers from LG's website. http://www.lge.com

Thanks.

You are the best! You helped me figure out how to access Verizon's free dial-up networking! Now I just need to figure out where to put my ringtones that are midi files and my wallpapers!
Thanks again!

I haven't found any software yet - but I can't use bitpim even on my VX7000. It worked the first time I used it, but since then it sends my 'puter into a frenzy. System locks up, screen goes absolutely nuts, etc.
