Can you send a call directly to voice mail with this phone?
I had the 4500 prior to upgrading to the 8100, and it had the nice feature of sending a call directly to voice mail by hitting the outside button on the side twice. Is this feature no longer available? Is there no way to silence a call without opening the phone?

As far as I've been able to tell, you can silence a call by pressing the side arrow button, but cannot send it directly into voicemail.

If you have a BT headset -- or a wired headset plugged in, for that matter -- turned on and linked with the phone, then on the front of the phone it will show two options; the rewind button (left arrows) will say "End", which sends the call directly to VM; the "Play" button will say "Talk", which answers the call.
Without a headset connected, those options aren't there. In that case, you have to to open the flip and hit the right soft key -- the one above "End". This sends the call directly to VM. This only works if your phone is not set to answer on open, it must be set to "any key answer", or "Send only answer".
With or without a headset, hitting one of the volume arrows on the left side will silence the ringer or stop the vibrat...
