bitpim
I just got the 8100. Set up the bluetooth to work through my computer, and actually had it dial out and have no problem getting on the internet through it.
I also just downloaded bitpim, but I can not communicate with my 8100 at all. If anyone has had any success getting anything from it that would be great. I would really like to work with my phonebook and pictures through it.

You need a data cable. The 8100 only supports wireless profiles(headsets/WAN). To use bitpimp and change the phones data through a bluetooth connection would require OBEX which this phone does not support

What do you have to have to get it to work with the computer? Is there something you can buy for the computer?

You just go to VZW and buy the Data kit for the 8100. It comes with the USB cable & the drivers. After you install the drivers you can use bitpim to access your phone. You dont need to install mobile phone tools just get the drivers off the disk

I got my cable for the 8100 for a buck plus 2 bucks shipping on Ebay. I feel like 40 bucks is ridiculous for a cable.
