Remember that 15 days means little if issues exist

Just a reminder to everyone waiting and hopoing verizon fixes volume issues before their 15 days are up...if this problem continues and verizon does not fix it you still have one year to keep returning that phone to verizon and getting a new one as stated in the manufacturers warranty. Then after you have had 3 of the same model in one year you can demand a different phone of equal value.

Not True... I have had 7 V710's.. They flat out refused to exchange it for another model... Said I could continue to exchange it for 1 year for the same model, then, that's it...

Then they suckered you...you should have called customer service right in front of the store manager then let them explain to him that Verizon policy clearly states that if you recieve 3 deffects devices of the same model within your one year warranty that you can request a different model of equal value. If a customer service rep tells you otherwise ask to speak to a supervisor.

Read your contract and the warranty information given to you by Verizon. I have used this option twice. I went through 3 of the V710's and 3 of the N330's before getting different models.

Thanks for the info... I will try sending copies of all the replacement phone receipts and see what happens... The store manager did call customer service and I was told my options were a new V710 at a discounted price of $249.00 - I said yea.. Right... Another replacement or to purchase a new phone at full retail less $80.00... Said yea right to that too... I made probably 10 calls to customer service last month and they all offered me a different model with little discout... $80.00 was the most offere...

When a phone (8100) is returned within that 15 day period that is available or returned during the one year period you speak of, what does Verizon do with that "returned" phone?

... is 350 days 😉 🤣

Verizon tech told me today that within the 15 days they will exchange the unit or allow you to get a different model phone - NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

Within the warranty year, they (Tech Support) must be able to replicate your problem and if they can fix it, they will. If they can't fix it, they will exchange your phone for the same model.

I'd GUESS (my guess, NOT quoting Verizon here) that they would have have plenty of spare or refurbished 8100's through out the warranty year so they would not need to give you a different model.

If you take the phone in and say the volume issue is affecting your phone they have to exchange it whether or not they can replicate it. The buyer is protected in all 50 states against defective merchandise and if you force the issue it is their word against yours. They cannot prove the phone is not defective and the burden is on them.

All three phones have to have been the same model and returned because defective. Plus the one you have now has to be defective also and it has to be within the year warranty.

okay, I have the warranty that I pay for extra on the month. It includes and extended warrenty on the phone, even when the manufacturers warranty runs out. Have you heard of this as well. I have had three phones this is my forth one and I haven't been charged yet for an exchange and the phone is over a year old with my latest exchange happening last week.

yes, I have the insurance too...but the phones you have gone through have to have been defective...not damaged, lost, stolen or anything like that...the key is you have to have had 3 of the same model all of which were defective within one year.
