I've read the manual but it eludes me.. how do I program my contacts for voice dialing?

I can't see anywhere where I can attach voice names with the contact so when the phone asks for a name and I say "bob" it will recognize it. ☚ī¸

any help would be greatly appreciated! 🙂

you don't have to program them. with the new voice dial feature you just say the name and it will recognize it from the phone book as it is typed in there. You are also able to digit dial, by just saying each number, very useful. Other things you can do are dial your voicemail, get the time and date (nice if your using a headset), check messeges (it just lets you know if you have any)

You don't have to train the phone for each specific contact. The phone has intuitive voice recognition. You put in a contact - Bob Smith - and when you attempt to voice dial, the phone makes the match.

Go into Menu, Settings & Tools, 1. Tools, 8. Voice Command, 4. Train Words, and train your phone to best recognize your voice. Not absolutely necessary, but definitely helps, especially if using some type of headset. When you do this, speak naturally, not in any exaggerated fashion.

Same place in the menu, 5. Best Match, choose 1 match or 4 match, and each time you say "Call someone", "Bob Smith", this determines if the phone only gives you 1 possible match, or 4. Try it with 4 first, they cut back to 1.
