Camera Delay
I was at the verizon store, and I talked to the technician. He said that that is how the phone is. He also said that the higher the resolution picture you take, the longer the delay, i.e. the lowest resolution delay is a little shorter. There is a delay nonetheless. The technician said that it's going to take a software upgrade to fix the problem. Hope this helps.

...it's really more like it's taking a second picture before you have time to save the first. I don't beleive "that is how the phone is" because some 8100's don't have the issue, and some only have it when the flash is on.
By calling it a delay, anyone not experiencing it does not understand it. Did the VZN Tech take a picture with you phone?

Yes. He acknowledged the problem. He said that all of the phones did it and that it could only be corrected with a software update.

That's not true. Mine dosn't do it (knock on wood!).

I'm going to do a poll

I'm beginning to think so. Either that or only the ones having problems are on here trying to find a fix????????????

I just wanted to also make clear again, as I said in another post, that I did thoroughly check this out on my phone by using sign language and doing the alphabet to see when it caught the pic. On the very highest resolution, there was a 1 second delay, but NOT on any other. I keep mine at the second to highest setting with great pics and absolutely NO DELAY under any circumstances (flash, etc. etc.) not even intermittant.

Yeah, I think that's right. People who have no problems are out enjoying their phones. Of course, Mary is the exception. (But we need her here!!)
I think it's true of most review forums... it the product is working satisfactorily, most people don't bother writing praises about it. But the small percentage of people who have problems scream very loud on these forums!! 😎

EXACTLY! Glad to be here too! 🙂
