Production Date?
Like mad scientists we are all grasping for anything to give us a clue as to whether there may have been a certain production that had more problems than others. I wonder if you all wouldn't mind posting your production dates to see if we can find a common denominator.

I thought some of the more astute followers here would know that answer. I saw on the 815 board that they were trying to centralize their problems by the production date and I thought we could do the same. I just received my phone and it is presently charging as I go through the CD-Rom and booklet - there were a bunch of numbers on the box - does anyone know if we can track production from those numbers?
By the way, thus far I have seen some answers (as I read and view) of questions that people are asking over and over - which tells me that not everyone reviews the CD-Rom and booklet).

The production date is probably located on the data plate (which can usually be found on the inside of the phone hidden under the battery.
I work with alot of companies that track problems by lot and date codes, so it IS a very possible solution. The numbers on the box should mean nothing, except for shipping tracking. I'll be picking up my 2 8100's tonight, so I hope we can start a list of problems by date code, and see if they are in fact problems by lot.

I would guess Rev: 1.1 would be some indicator or perhaps the S/N which starts with 507KPH600... 😕

I should be back on tonight with mine, as well as the exact location. Hopefully I can find it easily. rev 1.1 already tells me it's probably already had some minor fixes. does anyone have a different rev?

Sometimes first software designations are "rev. 1.1" which might be the revision sold to the public (as compared to beta or testing versions).
