Sorry fans, not happy either

I hate to say it because I had a great 4400 phone and expected the 8100 to be better. I now have the 1st one (defective) and the 2nd one (replacement) to return tomorrow. I am not sure what I will get in place of, not paying attention to all the bear/packer.... sorry lg/moto bashers. I have been reading the credible comments on here and still don't know what to choose. I can't wait for the fixes, I need a phone now. I wish I could say this is a great phone, but in the end, is there such a thing? 😕 â˜šī¸

Give it some time. Can you use your old phone for now? I think you'll enjoy the 8100 when all the kinks are taken out, hopefully soon! I returned my 8100 also, but I'm gonna get it again after a little while. Good luck!! 🙂

No, sorry. I ordered the Motorola afterall. I am not sure if I will be happy with it, but I will try it. I got to thinking... when I go into the vz store, all, and I mean all of the sales reps have motos on them. However they are pushing the lgs. I may do like you said and go back later for the lg, I just can't wait for them to correct their mistakes. If the moto doesn't work out, then I am not out anything because it was free. The lg even with the ne2 was an extra $50.00. I am just not willing to part with that kind of money for a pc of poo. My daughter's lg3200 works better than the 8100 and it only cost me $20.00.

I hardly think the 8100 is a "pc of poo." I believe the problems lie with Verizon software and not with LG!!

I think the reason the VZW reps use Motorola's is that Verizon is too cheap to pay them a decent wage to buy a better phone!!

Also, they may be using phones that don't sell very well because they are deeply discounted to the employees.

Who knows, Motorola may provide promotional phones to VZW employees since it is an American company (although Moto phones are made in China).

In any case, if you don't like the e815, I think you'll like the 8100 if you can wait a bit longer.

I had the 8100 and I returned it. I re-activated my old LG-6000 while I wait a bit longer for the 8100 problems to get resolved.

I already reviewed the 6000 on the VX6000 forum. It's a great phone, and mine is still working PERFECTLY after 2 years!! I'm an LG fan!! 😁

wrong about the wages, wrong about the deep discount on phones... We pay 2 yr promo pricing on all the phones.. only advantage... we are allowed upgrades every 10 monthes... We also dont get ne2 discounts like regular customers. đŸ‘ŋ

I just ordered the 8100 and had to pay $149 and if i decide i want the 815 i gotta pay $99 .... noone forces the employees to use any type of phone... we get to pickout whatever we want! But the brightside? We get discounted accessories lol đŸ¤Ŗ

According to murfy23, all the verizon reps are using Moto. Why?? I'm glad you at least know the difference!! đŸ¤Ŗ

Almost all of the reps I've seen at the stores in my area have LG's!

Well, if they weren't picky and didn't mind having a phone that creaked and hinges that moved then they'd all have the 815!

Really, there is no reason to bash me for as some of you call it "Going to the other side". I was a loyal lg fan too, but not limited to that. I have no loyalties to one company. It has to be them loyal to us the consumer. I simply am going to use whatever works for me at the moment to not interupt my life. If that means Moto then fine, if it is Nokia, whatever. I have spent numerous hours on the phone with verizon, numerous hours at the store (they aren't to speedy) and that to me is an interuption in my life....for a phone. Buying a car wasn't this difficult and this is just a phone. I was simply expressing my informed opinion for others who might be in the same place.

Please don't feel "bashed." What you say is true, this is only a phone. But it is a very personal piece of equipment that's close to the body all day long, and seems attached by an umbilical cord 24/7! 😲

I'm sure no one here has undying allegiance to any one company. Each person is looking for the best phone for him/herself, especially since it is such a personal thing. 🙄

Every writer's opinion here is valuable. The reader can accept it or reject it. We just have to respect someone's choice even if it's different than our own. 😁

So I think we can all have some fun while we try to sort out the pros and cons of the different models. Let's not get into personal attacks!! 🙂
