Can someone please explain in detail how to transfer phone #'s from the 6000 to the 8100 using bitpim. I'm getting so frustrated and cannot figure it out. I really would appreciate some help....Thanks so much for your time.

you can use a program in get it now (under get Going). It's called "Backup Assistant" activate your old phone, install the trial version upload your contacts to the internet using the program. Then activate a new phone, download trial (if won't work, you'll have to buy it 1.99 for a month, then cancel it) and restore all your contacts. you can also use internet to modify/add your contacts.

BTW, do you know if vx8100 cable fits the 6000?

arkady:
No, the 6000 cable does not fit 8100.

troyones:
If you don't have an awful lot of numbers, you can do it manually. I use only about 40 contacts with my cellphone, so I did it manually (phones side by side). It was also a good opportunity to update some of the information, and weed out some unused numbers and add some new ones.

Good luck! 😁

I love transferring them manually. Get to weed out the numbers of women that aren't worth talking to anymore.
