Question re: Bluetooth with Jabra BT250V

I just got the BT250V and it has been kind of frustrating. I have both the phone and the headset on the same side of my body and I get some scratchiness and whatnot. Also, If I am asked to answer Yes or No it seems to have problems detecting when I have said Yes. I have trained it through the headset already to see if that helps, and it doesn't really. I really have to say Yes forcefully for it to work. Does anyone have any recommendations for things to try? I also tested recording some stuff in the voice memo to see if the headset was bad, but when I recorded something it came across loud and clear. Thoughts?

The voice training seemed to help with all of the headsets I have tested, including the Jabra. One thing, you mentioned speaking "forcefully"; it seemed to me that speaking in a normal, conversational tone worked best. Other than that, in spite of the high rating on CNet, I think my Jabra is going back. As mentioned in an earlier post, the call recipients seem to think I sound clearest on the Moto 850.

I have the 250v also and I love mine. Make sure when you are speaking you speak at a normal to low volume. I see people a lot that arent used to headsets put them on and think you have to speak loudly to be heard. The Jabra headsets are LOUD on their own. I had my girlfriend put it on so I could hear from the other end and they come through pretty loud so no need to speak loudly. Also if you have too much background or ambient sound that can always cause problems with the headset and the voice commands. Even without a headset those sounds can cause cell phones problems actually.

Another thing I want to add is I think peoples expectations of these headsets a lot of times are too great. You want it to have a great mic so you don't have to ...

I had a lot of problems with the voice recognition on both the 250 & 250v after a couple of days. Went thru 2 of each and phone checked out fine. Very weird. The ghost in the phone. Never got the CW to work onany headset. Back with the Moto 850, but not crazy about it. Clear and accurate but does not connect like the Jabra.

I returned my 250V and purchased a Logitech Ear piece and love it. It is not as stylish as some of them. The sound is great. No issues what so ever.
