VX-8100 Issues

🙄
I just got off the phone with a CS rep from LG and she said that the camera and the ear piece Volume issues are glitches with the first round of phones that were released. She stated that I should go back to VZ and replace the phone and the one that I will get will not have the issues.

Has anyone done this yet? What was the result?

I went into the store yesterday to see about the camera delay and the service guy pulled one out of the box and I set the camera to the highest resolution and it had the same 1 second delay in taking a picture.

Overall I've had no problems with the phone except for sometimes the earpiece volume being too low and the camera delay sucks but it's workable. It's not like I'm trying to take vacation pictures with my camera phone but it would be nice if they fixed it.

Yeah my phone delays about a second after taking a picture at the highest resolution, if you lower it there is no delay.

I don't have an ear piece so I can't tell you anything about that. I did get a 2.5mm to 3.5mm for headphones and the volume does seem lower, but it seemed usable.

Yeah, I'm now on my 4th, 4th!! 😳 , VX-8100 b/c I kept getting advised to "try another one!" Well, I got the most recent one on Monday, July 25th and it still does all the same things.

It's time that someone do something about this! The best way, I guess, to go about it is to keep calling and emailing LG and Verizon and then they will get the hint!

I actually called LG (I've also sent email) and spoke with someone and she said that they've been getting calls about some issues with it and that she thought Verizon was working on an update. I told her about a couple other things I had going on with mine and she said she'd log those into the system as well.
